Always proud of our athletes accomplishments, it's a great finale to a very long and grueling season. Sarah C. level 7 14+ and Emilie K. level 8 14+ have qualified and are well placed in their groups of the top 32 athletes in those categories in Ontario. At Provincials - the top 4 in each level and age category (level 7-9 only) get to represent Ontario at the Eastern Canadian Championships..You have to think that both of these girls has this in their mind. Training to win and always trying to win matters, winning in and of itself has little meaning. Winning at the big meet... that's what it's all about!
Oh, I almost forgot -- Provincial Championships has been running the super-fun Event Finals for the last couple of years. It's a little goofy, but great fun and something for the girls and the judges to look forward to. They take the average 2 best scores on each event (these girls didn't have to have made all around and could be event specialists) and rank the top 8. This year both E. and S. have qualified on Floor - Sarah is ranked 1st in the province! I'm so very proud...The big meet takes place April 1-3rd in Niagara Falls.. I'll let you know how it turns out;)
