Greetings parents, I hope you are enjoying the start of both the gym season and the school year. As with all places where many children converge - the climate is always rife for germs and such to spread between athletes. We are working very hard to ensure the gym is a healthy, clean environment for everyone. It has come to our attention that at least one or two athletes have come to gymnastics with a wart on exposed skin, uncovered. As referenced in your handbook, this is simply not permitted. Coaches will be doing daily checks and if an athlete is discovered to have a wart - they will be sent back to you in the stands to have it covered by several rounds of duct tape. (band-aids, sport tape, simply do not work). If a wart is uncovered, athletes will not be permitted to train. If your child currently has a wart please make sure you send them to gym already taped - as it stretches the club's & coaches time and resources to do this for many children.
If you have any questions about this please don't hesitate to ask myself or Lisa Flood.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation
Michelle
